Before you begin
ValeLearning's version: 3.0.15
reflects the new Vale brand standards, multiple quality-of-life improvements, and third-party vendor support. As with any ValeLearning update, please verify that your browser is up-to-date and that your web browser cache has been flushed prior to contacting support with any issues.

ValeLearning is compatible with the following minimum browser versions:
- Windows: Microsoft Edge* (latest version), Google Chrome (latest version), Firefox (latest version)

Common Support Topics
Online training modules.
If your module training session does not function as expected, please make sure that your browser is supported by the online training. Valelearning uses two (2) types of online training modulues:
- Articulate Storyline - Here are the supported browsers for viewing responsive Rise 360 courses.
- Articulate RISE - Here are the supported browsers for viewing Storyline 360 courses.
Training sessions not resuming.
If your module training session does not resume from where you left off, please verify that you're using the same web browser and device. Modules will only resume if cookies are enabled on your browser or device.
Please note that modules will not resume if you're in a private browsing session (incognito).
Registering for training.
Contractors that wish to launch training modules through ValeLearning must register for a contractor training PIN. The PIN grants you access to the contractor dashboard and stores your subscribed modules.
Here are some common questions regarding contractor PINs:
- Expired PIN: All contractor training PINs are issued with a default 14-day expiry. If you need this expiration period extended, please contact L&D through one of our support options.
- My contractor ID does not exist: You must supply a valid Contractor ID when registering through ValeLearning. If you do not have a contractor ID, or if the ID you have is not in our system, please register for a Vale Contractor Pass Number.
- My desired training module is not available: Some modules available through ValeLearning are region specific, so please make sure you're selecting the appropriate Vale Operation. If you still cannot find your module, then it has been removed from ValeLearnings course offerings or it has been replaced with an updated module under a different name.
- I have not recieved my PIN: Please check your SPAM or JUNK folders in the email you have provided. If you have not received your welcome email after 24 hours, please contact L&D through one of our support options.
Generating a Vale Contractor Pass Number.
Contractors that are not currently in the ValeLearning database, must register for a new Vale Contractor Pass Number. If you have completed a ValeLearning module before May 2022, you will have a valid training check profile. You can check your training records through our public training check.
Here are some common questions regarding new Vale Contractor Pass Numbers:
- I require a Vale Contractor Pass Number: Please visit the new Vale Contractor Pass Number Generator and complete the online form. We will deliver your ID to the email address you provide.
- My Vale Vendor (Company) does not exist: If your vendor is not listed, please verify that you're not subcontracting under a different vendor name (company). If your company is the primary vendor, please verify that your vendor name has not changed. If you still cannot find your vendor, please search and select 'Vendor Not Listed'.
- I have not recieved my Vale Contractor Pass Number: Please check your SPAM or JUNK folders in the email you have provided. If you have not received your welcome email after 24 hours, please contact L&D through one of our support options.
Missing training records.
For privacy reasons, public Training Checks require that you provide the contractor's first or last name, followed by their Vale ID. If your search provides zero (0) results, either your search parameters are incorrect, or the contractor has not yet completed any online training.
Contractor training profile is empty.
There are two (2) scenarios in which a contractor training profile inside the training check will be empty:
- Depreciated Training: Modules that are not currently within the ValeLearning.ca training umbrella are listed as depreciated. Contractors may contain records associated with these mnodules, however they will not show within the Training Check.
- Locked Training Profile: If there is an internal error with a contractor training profile, the profile will be locked until the issue is corrected by an L&D Administrator. For further assistance, please contact L&D through one of our support options.
